What do you do after you leave Lending Tree?

Lately, many of the people that have left LendingTree have not been able to leave on their own accord and do to the recent layoffs are now forced to look for other jobs, which can be a daunting task for many of them. However, if you are the former president and the founder of the company you go out and buy a 33 year old staple in the west coast yachting community. fthr_img_5.jpg

Anthony Hsieh, the recently departed president and founder of LendingTree and boating and fishing enthusiast has purchased Crow’s Nest Yachts, based in Newport Beach, San Diego and Seattle for an undisclosed amount.

”I now have an opportunity to differentiate Crows Nest Yachts – and position it to win,” Hsieh said. “The opportunity to establish a brand in this space is ripe.”

He also states:

“I am excited to grow the Crow’s Nest brand through (sportfishing) tournaments, a new advertising campaign, special promotions, a newly designed Web site and much more,” Hsieh added.

Maybe I can get at least one day on one of your boats for all the leads I have purchased in the past. Wouldn’t that be nice :)

Congrats and best wishes on the new endeavor, its always great to see someone doing what they love for a living, see you in the harbor.

Anthony Hsieh was the founder and CEO of HomeLoanCenter, which was acquired by LendingTree. He certainly still deserves his Yachts.
