It was announced today that LeadCritic friend and co-founder of LeadROI was named CEO of Vidshadow, Inc.
Atul Patel, who along side Raj Parekh played a role in the creation and developement LeadROI and help lead the company to the acquisition by Root Markets and then left shortly after, has had is hands in a number of developements from founding companies LeadIdentity, ThirdPop and BankAround to consultative roles in companies like Financial Freedom and CPM Advisors.
At time when marketers are experiementing more and more with video advertising and video monetization, i.e lead generation, VidShadow makes it easy and seemless to integrate site targeted videos to your website and as well as allowing advertisers to market via professionally produced videos.
“It is an exciting opportunity to offer technology that connects industry stakeholders together seamlessly, which is an increasingly difficult task in this rapidly evolving space,” said Atul Patel, CEO of Vidshadow. “Our top priority is strengthening the video capabilities and return-on-investment for our business customers, while enhancing the user experience and engagement of their audiences.”
It is still up in the air what type of role video will play in our forms of lead generation, however there is no doubt that it is playing an increased role every day that passes in the Internet Marketing/Advertising industry.
Atul Patel is one of the “good guys” in the industry and I would like to congratulate him on his new role and wish him the best. I’d even like to publically invite him to particpate as a guest writer here on LeadCritc and tell us what his thoughts are about the future of video as it relates to the lead generation space. I think that would be an interesting point of view to hear.
Nonetheless, congratulations on the promotion.

Thank you for the kind words Mike.
There is certainly a link between lead generation and video. The aggregators and affiliates have always been effective at optimizing new advertising channels — text and banner advertising, remnant inventory, contextual advertising — that it is inevitable that lead generators look to video as a new way area to win with metrics and optimization.
However, as with any untouched territory, the arbitrageurs are abundant and you can waste a lot of money without the right approach. I will write a post very soon to touch up on what I’ve seen and where the opportunity may lie for lead generators.

How does it differ from YouTube ? Is there a monetization involved in displaying these site targeted videos on one’s site ? If so, what’s a typical eCPM / eRPM for the publisher ?

Atul is one of the smartest guys I know. His influence was tremendous at LeadROI. I’m sure he will be an excellent leader for Vidshadow. Good luck my friend.
