Let The Lawsuites Begin, LendingTree

According to CNNMoney.com a lawsuit was filed Friday in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan on behalf of all people who submitted a loan request via LendingTree. This makes the second lawsuit filed against LendingTree in a week.

“As a result of defendant’s actions, millions of its customers have had their personal confidential information compromised, have had their privacy rights violated, have been exposed to the risk of fraud and have otherwise suffered damages,” the lawsuit said.

I think we all new their would be some ambulance chasing law firms on this case sooner then later. Maybe that comment is not fair. It is clear that these consumers could be at risk of future problems, but it is not clear that any current credit problems have occurred. Maybe issues will come out in the lawsuit. What also is probable is that LT will funnel down these lawsuits to the two gentlemen that came up with scam, not that a lawsuit would pull more than a penny out these two mens pockets.
