Round 3 has now come to an end and was full of drama. As you can see there was a huge amount of votes for both Bills.com and LeadPoint, but not very few were unique voters. I am alright to some extent with mulitple voting but when one person sits at their computer for over an hour and continues to clear their cache and vote and again and again, I think that crosses my “alright” line. So both providers had a diligent fan that participated in this American Idol style voting tactic and I have eliminated that voters from the mix and there was a clear winner. Yes, I know that in itself cause some questions and may give some to question to the validity of the playoff and I want you all to remember any way what this really is. It is simply just for fun and has no real statistical relevance nor does a winner have a better quality then its competitor. (So for though, I think it has been right on, just my opinion though)
Before I announce the results I do want you to know that I will be keeping the number of duplicate IP’s on file just in case my highly relevant playoff system gets audited. (I hope you are picking up on my sarcasm)
The winner was Bills.com with 63 votes to LeadPoint’s 47 votes.
The next playoff will be KeyLeads VS. iLeads and the winner of this playoff will face Bills.com.
I do want to say that I would encourage the competitors to email their client base, friends and family to vote, but don’t assign one person to sit their and vote. Not to say that is what happened, but…
Moving forward I am going to cap duplicate IP’s to 5 votes.
Let’s start the votes!!
Results:
Round 1:
LowerMyBills VS. Nextag
WINNER: LowerMyBills 45 votes to 31
Round 2
Adchemy VS. QuinStreet
WINNER: QuinStreet 34 votes to 21
Round 3
LeadPoint VS. Bills.com
WINNER: Bills.com 63 votes to 47
Round 4
KeyLeads VS. iLeads
Round 5
Low.com VS. LowLender
Round 6
ReallyGreatRate VS. BigMortgageLeads

Why even 5 votes? Do providers really have the time to have someone sit and clear their cache and vote again, wow. I’m sure executives within the respective organizations could find better use of employee resources…no?

Well, this isn’t going to be perfect and I think it is fine for a buyer to have their LO’s vote for a company from the same IP. There may also be circumstances where there is a difference of opinions at the same IP, which one would I take in that circumstance?
Also, I am not sure if the people who were fanatically voting were from the lead provider or simply avid fans of the company.
