What I was intending to say was that it "wouldn't" surprise me that companies do that. I am completely aware of companies that mislead consumers through their forms simply to gain a higher price for their leads by populating specific fields. Correction to this post:

What I was intending to say was that it “wouldn’t” surprise me that companies do that.

I am completely aware of companies that mislead consumers through their forms simply to gain a higher price for their leads by populating specific fields.
